My final and probably my favourite dive in Barbados on this trip… and nothing to do with holding hands with the lovely dive guide the whole way round! We dived the Bulldog reef at night. Starting with a swim out to the boat, to sit and wait for the sun to go down, gently rocking in the breeze. When it was time to head in, we went down onto the wreck.
I’m not a huge fan of old wrecks, as they tend to be sharp with nasties all over them, and especially in the dark with currents pushing you into them, so I grabbed onto the dive guides hand and off we went. It was only dive number 8 for me and my first night dive, but I loved every second of it.
We saw loads of different things you’d possibly not see on a day dive including an Octopus who’d just finished it’s late night snack of several conches.
We also saw (much to my amusement) Mr and Mrs Crab having some sexy time! Mr crab was quite upset by our appearance, but carried on with his mission as he picked up Mrs crab and darted off elsewhere.
It was a fantastic dive that I still remember! We ended the dive coming up the beach through schools of tiny fish – gorgeous!
I wish I could find some pictures to show how amazing it was out there. So I included one from Rogers Scuba Shack who were the dive school we went with.

Oh! And watch out for the Phosphorescence! Truly stunning!
