Leading diving suppliers are preparing to launch hundreds of new products for visitors to the forthcoming Birmingham Dive Show.
The UK’s biggest and most popular event for divers, DIVE 2012 will feature around 300 companies offering a host of new and recently-introduced products. These will cover land-based and liveaboard diving holidays, specialist training courses at all levels and, of course, dive gear ranging from computers and masks to BCs and drysuits.
A good idea of what to expect can be seen in the Show Latest section of the Dive Show website.
Taking place over the weekend of 27/28 October, DIVE 2012 will also feature many special attractions. These include two in-hall diving pools, the New Products Showcase, Caribbean Village, Asia-Pacific Showcase, British Isles Experience and 3D NoTanx Freedive Simulator.
There will also be an expanded PhotoZone area boasting a gallery of top underwater prints plus a programme of photo-focussed presentations from speakers including Paul Duxfield, Saeed Rashid and Alex Tattersall.
Meanwhile, speakers appearing on the main DIVER and Concourse Stages include Andy Torbet, Monty Halls, Paul Rose, Mark Powell and John Bantin.
The show’s PADI Village will feature attractions including a special seminar area, and BSAC will have a strong presence, with not only its main club stand, but also a series of BSAC Pods run by local branches and a new Kidz Zone.
DIVE 2012 opening times are 9.30-6.00 on Saturday 27 October and 9.30-5.00 on Sunday 28 October.
Ticket prices start at just £7.50 for groups of 6 or more divers (a saving of £4 per person off the full price of £11.50). Discounted tickets available until midnight 23rd October.
